Since its inception by a group of young, enthusiastic, dynamic singers on 02 December 1967 ' The Tabernacles ' under its Founder Conuctor the late Kenneth V Gibson has steadily grown from a piano-accordion and an acoustic guitar group to a full fledged choir, rendering western light, semi classic and classical church music, pieces from Handel, Mozart, Beethoven and Bach. The group started with a small classical from Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s desiring to singing some big classicals like Mozart’s God is gone up, Handel’s Zadok the priest, Kyrie and Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria, besides Negro Spiritual songs in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The only choir group in the twin cities and one of the few in India to achieve a milestone of 50years could only happen because of the zeal and interest, the will power and leadership qualities of the Founder Conductor, Kenneth V Gibson the conductor,supported by lots of love and dedication by the singers and musicianswho have been part of the group.

In other words it means that every singer or musician associated with THE TABERNACLES have willfully taken the responsibility for the proclamation of the Gospel through music and your talent in singing to the mass, witnessing in public, assuring people of their salvation, cautioning them of the rapture day, confirming the fact that nothing short of accepting HIM as their personal savior should be their ultimate goal and that it is the only solution. By now our motto service through singing would have created an indelible impression in your heart and mind.

But, suddenly and with a jolt came the death of this great conductor on the 21 August 2018, which literally shattered the group and some of the people who year after year looked forward to starting the Christmas season with the renderings of 'The Tabernacles'.People were wondering what would happen now? But thanks to Kenneth's foresight he had slowly and steadily trained his son Zubin to eventually take over, so not wanting the group to die some of the members immediately got together and decided that the 'Show Must Go On' then along with the chairman of the group (Mr Dass Roberts) inducted Zubin Gibson as the new conductor of 'The Tabernacles'

3 years with our new Conductor, Zubin and we have been able to step up to the zeal, passion and vision he had to take Classical Singing to the next level.
